"Dave and I met working in the advertising department at The Chicago Sun-Times. He wasn’t always in the office, but on days that he was he made sure to find his way over to my desk. It started out with a friendship but once we spent more time together -- and of course those fabulous work lunches -- we really started to fall for one another! I remember a Cubs game that our company went to, we had a suite that night and we sat next to one another, it was like no one else was there. That’s when it all started to become real!

"A few years later, a fantastic dinner at Eataly, and a short walk over to Navy Pier the fireworks began a memorable New Year's Eve. As the clock struck midnight, I turned around and Dave was on one knee, fireworks going off in the background. Even though there were tons of people, it was like we were alone. Dave said to me, 'Let’s start this year off the right way. Will you marry me?'

"It was perfect! Dave is like no one I’ve ever met before. We can just look at each other and know what the other is thinking. We’re each other’s best friends. Everyone at The Sun-Times always said we would get married!

"I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day than our wedding! The ceremony was at Schram Chapel in Glenview. It's a little white chapel right out of the movies. Of course the excitement started to set in when I heard the violinists start to play. I walked down the aisle with both my incredible parents- I wanted to honor both my mom and dad for the amazing job they did raising me, as well as the support and love they’ve always given me. Once I saw my gorgeous groom at the end of the aisle all those nerves went away! Rev Jim, A.K.A. Rent –A- Rev, was wonderful and created a beautiful ceremony filled with great stories, insightful lessons and, of course, lots of laughs.

"The reception was incredible. "Tiffany and Co." was our theme, and it made for a breathtaking room filled with white satin table clothes with Tiffany Blue organza overlays, white feathers and flowers as centerpieces, cotton candy waiting for all of our guests as a “Sweet Thank You.” I was truly blown away.

"Guests had the opportunity to take pictures on the red carpet with our step-and-repeat backdrop that read, 'Stacey & Dave 9.25.15.' The bridal party came out to the Chicago Bulls entrance music and then the fun began, including an epic bridal party hip-hop routine! As a life-long dancing and also a dance instructor, this was so fun for me! I had the opportunity to choreograph this and we had a few practices. Our 'Dream Team' did great!

"More dancing ensued throughout the night. Not only did I get to have a first dance with my groom and my wonderful father, but I also had the honor of having a first dance with my grandpa, who is my best friend! The night went off with a bang and DJ Speed kept everyone dancing all night. Our caricature artist made everyone look fabulous, and late night snacks and a delectable sweet table were delicious.  I also made signs for every table “Oh Snap! Let’s get social, please use our wedding hashtag #WhatTheFont).

"Dave and I are silly and fun, so we wanted to throw the party of a lifetime, where our guests could have a blast! It was a little piece of heaven that I never wanted to end!"-- Stacey Fontechia
